Advanced Recording Techniques explores the practices and procedures typical to a professional recording studio environment with a focus on the recording of acoustic sound sources. SSL console operations, studio protocol, professionalism, advanced signal flow, signal processing, analytical listening skills are learned along with close, distant and stereo microphone techniques. Recording and mixing with the use of Pro Tools HD is utilized.

Advanced Mixing Techniques examines the nature of the mixdown process in extensive detail. Advanced signal flow and signal processing techniques are learned along with a vast understanding of the SSL console, VCA automation system, and sync applications. (Professor and Mentor: Pete Peloquin)

Utilizing the SSL 6000E series console with G series computer automation, Otari MX80 analog tape machine, Pro Tools HD, and various outboard signal processing, Jesse Allen produced, wrote, arranged, edited, recorded, and mixed the song “Disco Rockin’ the Sunshine.”
